What’s inside

01

Every nutrient, one at a time

Thirteen vitamins and the minerals that matter, each with its own chapter: what it does, how much you need, where to get it, and what goes wrong when it runs short. Every chapter ends in a nutshell summary you can read in a minute.

02

Food first

Where each nutrient actually sits on an ordinary plate, how to keep it there when you cook, and how to eat well on frozen, tinned and seasonal food. A food-source finder at the back covers every vitamin and mineral in the book.

03

Supplements without the silliness

Which supplements are genuinely worth taking, which are a waste of money, and the safe upper limits nobody prints in large type on the label. Plus the marketing phrases — “detox”, “immune boosting”, “clinically proven” — to walk straight past.

04

Signs something may be missing

A plain-English guide to the persistent tiredness, brittle nails, low mood and slow healing that can point to a shortfall — and a personal nutrient check-up to work through before you buy a single bottle.

05

Youthful living, nutrient by nutrient

Skin, hair and nails. Muscles, bones and joints. Brain, mood, energy and sleep. What the evidence says helps, what it says doesn’t, and the one daily habit that beats every supplement on the shelf.

06

Every decade has its needs

Teenagers, pregnancy, the menopause, later life, vegans and athletes: how needs shift through the decades and what to prioritise at each stage — including the ten-habit checklist the book leaves you with.

“This is not a book about looking twenty-two forever. Nobody can promise you that, and anyone who tries is probably selling a very expensive jar of something.”
— William Pennstone, from the preface

The author

William Pennstone

William Pennstone is a writer with a lifelong curiosity about how everyday food shapes the way we feel, move and age. Vitamins and Minerals for a Youthful Body grew out of years of reading, cooking, asking awkward questions and trying to separate genuine nutrition science from glossy marketing.

He believes that good health should be understandable, enjoyable and within everyone’s reach — and that a well-stocked fruit bowl is one of the finest investments a person can make.

Questions

What format is the book?

A PDF of the complete first edition — 282 pages, laid out for reading on a phone, tablet or computer. It opens in any PDF reader, so there is nothing to install.

How do I get it after paying?

The moment Razorpay confirms your payment you’re taken to a download page, and the same link is emailed to the address you enter at checkout. The link works for 72 hours and five downloads; if you miss it, write to william@williampennstone.com with your order number and we’ll send a fresh one.

How does the six-hour launch price work?

Your first visit starts a six-hour clock on this device. Order within it and you pay the launch price; after that the book is the regular price. The clock is kept honestly — it’s checked on our server when the order is created, not just in your browser.

Is checkout secure?

Yes. Payment is handled entirely by Razorpay — a PCI DSS Level 1 certified processor — over an encrypted connection; this site never sees or stores card numbers. Every order is verified on our server before the download is released, and the only cookie we set ourselves is the one that remembers when your six hours began.

Can I get a refund?

Because the book is a digital file delivered the moment you pay, purchases are final and non-refundable. If the file is faulty or won’t open, write to william@williampennstone.com and we’ll replace it straight away. Nothing here removes rights you have under the consumer law of your country.

Is this medical advice?

No. The book is written for general education and draws on published guidance and research, but it is not a substitute for personal advice. Speak to your doctor, pharmacist or a registered dietitian before changing your diet or starting a supplement — especially if you are pregnant, taking medicines or living with a health condition.
